Attention Parents/Guardians:

As we prepare for the end of the 2023-2024 school year, this is the ideal time for wellness visits and ensuring that your student is up to date on all immunizations/vaccinations.

According to the Mississippi Department of Health, TDaP (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) vaccination provides protection against whooping cough (pertussis), a highly contagious disease that can be severe or fatal, especially in very young children. Infants who are too young to be vaccinated against pertussis must be protected by ensuring that adolescents and adults around them cannot carry the disease.

In order to enter school, all students entering the seventh grade must have documentation from a physician verifying that they have received a recent TDaP vaccination (at age seven or later). This includes new students, current students and transfer students in both public and private schools.

Once your child has his/her vaccine or if your child has already received the TDaP, please bring Form 121 to the office so that our records may be updated.  Students will not be allowed to walk into the school on the first day of 7th grade if the district does not have this documentation.

Thank you,
