welcome to the Scott County School District Chromebook orientation exciting things are taking place in Scott County is league 0121 with Chromebook which includes issuing phone book to all 7th through 12th grade students for the school year the first what is once a 1121 is the idea of issuing a school device to each student one device or one student I want some learning environment gives us a technology-infused curriculum that extends learning opportunities beyond the walls of a classroom we're looking forward to the exciting possibilities of this new tool it will create for your child's education our students will be issued an HP Chromebook this Chromebook is a versatile learning Tool The Learning of our students will be enhanced by using Google Apps such as Google Drive Google doc Google forms canvas are learning man Smith system in other apps and websites that teachers incorporate into their classes all students who choose to participate will be issued a device and the device will be returned in May to the school at this time we planned it all stood will continue to be larger than a traditional classroom with face-to-face interaction while also becoming Learners in a virtual classroom 121 will promote a blended learning environment merging virtual learning experiences along with traditional classroom will transform learning experiences through engaging students in meaningful and enriched curriculum also this program ensure Student Success and the unexpected event that we would ever need to transition into virtual only classrooms caring for your Chromebook is vitally important after you receive your Chromebook it's important to take care of the device students are ultimately responsible for the care of the device and are expected to comply with a policy list in the Chromebook distance learning program handbook the Chromebooks issue to the students will remain the property of the Scott County School District at all times should be prepared daily with a fully charged Chromebook yes they need to charge them United Home Chromebook should be shut down when not in use it's cool to preserve battery life the Chromebook should be accompanied in the provided protection case at all times and should be secured at all times by being in possession of the student do not alter the Chromebook in any way by adding drawing stickers paint or tape anywhere on the computer please care for the screen by using only an approved cleaning cloth never use any live quiz for cleaning carefully transport the device in the closed position and avoid undue pressure on the screen never put it in a backpack or Locker ensure that all cords cables and removable storage devices are inserted career before you said removed before storing the device in the carrying case in order to take your Chromebook home there's a non-refundable $25 cost for each student you must pay the 25 hours before your child receives the device if there's cosmetic damage or damages caused by intentional misuse and abuse the Scott County School District will assess the Chromebook damage and repair or replace the device if the damages Herman to be accidental and within the protection guidelines.
