UMMC 2 YOU
As you may know, the UMMC Center for Telehealth is one of the country's only two Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Telehealth Centers of Excellence. We are pleased to inform you that UMMC is seeking approval from HRSA to allow us to continue offering these vital services. However, there will be some changes. As of October 1, 2024, visits will be billed to insurance as part of a pilot project to evaluate the model for long-term sustainability. UMMC will work with parents to obtain insurance information. No child will be denied care based on their ability to pay.
Important program changes which begin on October 1, 2024 include:
- Urgent Care & Behavioral Health visits can be offered from school or AT HOME.
- School District employees can receive Urgent Care or Behavioral Health visits at school or home using UMMC2YOU.
- Visits will be billed to the patient’s insurance.
